Who we are
The Morning Dispatch is run by the Elbo Room, 241 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our main website is elboroom.com.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no advertising on this page, and we don't set any cookies.
Like every website, the company that hosts the page (Vercel) receives basic technical information when your browser asks for it, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the visit. It uses this to deliver the page and protect it from abuse, and we don't use it to identify anyone.
Content from other services
Some parts of the page come straight from other services, which then receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies:
- YouTube (Google) provides the sunrise time-lapse picture. When you press play, the video plays from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode; once it plays, YouTube may store information in your browser. See Google's privacy policy.
- The National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center provide the radar and tropical outlook images.
The fonts, charts and weather data are served from our own site.
Links to other sites
Links to elboroom.com, ElboTV, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X and others take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Email updates
If you sign up for the morning email when we offer it, we'll use your email address only to send the Dispatch and Elbo Room news. We won't sell or share it, and every email will have an unsubscribe link. We'll name the email service we use on this page before signups open.
Children
This page isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
